The European Study Trip (EST)
The EST is an international trip intended for first- and second year students. It is designed to offer an insight to different cultures and to provide a first encounter to a variety of professional organizations.
The EST traditionally starts off with a number of in-house company visits in The Netherlands, after which the group of about 30 students will travel to a destination somewhere in Europe. Here students will learn about the business climate, culture and the local nightlife by means of company visits, city tours and some afterhours relaxation.
What do I learn as a committee member?
Organizing the European Study Trip offers a number of challenges. You will be responsible for the acquisition of companies both abroad and at home, you will have to design your own marketing, select the participants, organize the trip and manage the finances. During the trip you will lead a group of 30 students through a foreign city. The EST will test your team skills and endurance, and it will also provide you with an unforgettable experience.
Examples of previous destinations of the European Study Trip are Lisbon, Budapest, Prague, Istanbul, Rome, Warsaw, Sofia and Krakow.
