The Commercial Team works closely with the Commercial Officer to manage and expand the commercial network of Aureus.

Recruiting the best and the brightest students has always been, and remains to be, a challenge for companies. At the same time, finding a suitable job is one of the highest priorities for students. The professional network and close student relations of Aureus, result in an unique situation in which Aureus is an intermediate party. By organizing many career-, academic-, skills-  and social events, companies and students get to know each other in a better way.

The primary goal of the Commercial Team is to arrange phone calls or appointments with interesting, new companies for Aureus, both for events and for our new service, the Discount Card. The Committee tries to find new companies who can provide discounts for Aureus members. Together with the Commercial Officer, the Commercial Team will contact different kinds of companies that could benefit from a collaboration with Aureus. The second responsibility of the Commercial Team is to train and support the other active members of Aureus in their acquisition skills.

What do I learn as a committee member?

As a committee member, you will develop your communication skills by doing lots of acquisition. You will be trained to become perceptive to the needs of companies, transform problems into opportunities and develop a commercial mindset. Furthermore, you will be busy supporting other committees by providing them with your acquisition skills. Every Commercial Team member is assigned to a different committee. Therefore, you improve your coaching skills by supporting fellow committees. Finally, your organization skills will be developed by the events that you get to organize.
