Introduction Committee

  • Pillar: Social + Academic
  • Workload: 3-5 hours per week
  • Time: October – August

The Introduction Committee consists of a group of six Aureus members, who organize events concerning the introduction of new students. One of these events is the Aureus introduction weekend, which is a weekend for all new first year SBE students. During the VU-introduction week, the committee will organize a couple of events as well, such as social drinks, diners and study related informative lectures. Furthermore, the committee is responsible for mentor recruitment, promotional activities and the successful conduct of the week. Lastly, the Introduction Committee organizes a welcoming event for all pre-master students. The previously mentioned events will give students the chance to get to know each other and Aureus as well.

What will do I learn as a committee member?

The Introduction Committee is intended for students who wish to gain experience in organizing events alongside their study. You will learn to work in a team and organize several events. Furthermore, you will learn to work with the design and implementation of a marketing plan. Also, you will develop your acquisition skills, as you will be in contact with a lot of companies. By organizing and participating in these events, you will develop your personal and professional skills. Besides, you will meet all the new SBE students at the VU. How nice is that?
