About Thomas My student time started with the Aureus introduction weekend in the summer of 2014. Not sure what my student life was going to look like, I did almost everything there was to do. After a week of partying with Intro, I decided I would forever regret it if all I did was study during my years at the VU.

In my first year I got accepted for the Almanac committee, responsible for making the yearbook. It gave me the great opportunity to get to learn everybody within the association, and design a professional book starting from scratch. Nearing the end of the year, I did start to feel the need to develop myself and do more. I applied for the Introduction committee early, and got accepted to become the chairman of the Introduction committee the following year, and kick start my year by helping the previous committee as well.

After 1.5 years of Intro and 2 years at the university I thought it was time to develop myself on a more business related level. I joined the Commercial team to further develop my sales skills. During the end of my 3rd year, I applied for the Amsterdam Research Project. With a group of 18 student-consultants we went to Vietnam to conduct research for Dutch companies. As External Affairs of the team, I was responsible for coordinating all the sales we did. Before we went to Vietnam, I applied for the 70th Aureus board to put a golden crown on my time at Aureus.
