About Bob This is my 6th year on the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, since I did my bachelor International Business Administration here for four years. During my bachelor I went on exchange to Seoul, Korea Republic. Also, I have almost completed my master Business Administration: Financial Management since I only need to write my thesis before graduating.
My path within Aureus has not been the most usual of paths. In my first and second year of my bachelor IBA I had applied for a committee but was rejected, but this did not stop me to apply again in my third year. This time my application was more successful and I was hired for the Challenge Week committee. This was a new committee and a new event which was meant to become the next big career event of Aureus. I was given the function of Controller, which was my personal preference because of my study background. Unfortunately the event did not turn out as we hoped, but as a committee we could still be proud of what we had achieved. Our evaluation led to the Challenge Week being transformed into what is now the Aureus Business Month.
Nevertheless, was Aureus satisfied with my personal performance after which I entered the FEWEB Training Days committee. In this committee I was the Chairman and again not everything went smoothly this year. However, we were able to organize multiple training sessions during the year but again our evaluation suggested to change the format of the committee. Now this committee goes by the name of Aureus Academy.
My last committee before I applied for the Aureus board was the Amsterdam Research Project. With a group op 18 student-consultants we went to Vietnam to conduct research for Dutch companies. As Controller of the whole group, I was responsible for all the finances before, during and after our trip. Before we went to Vietnam, I applied for the Aureus board to make my Aureus Journey complete.
