We are excited to announce that the TEDxVU Committee will be organizing a Student Pitch Night on Thursday, January 15th 2026 🎙️

Have you ever wanted to be a speaker at an official TED event? This could be your chance to showcase your ideas to a wider audience and take them to the next level. The goal of the Student Pitch Night is to find a creative and highly driven student speaker who can present alongside other speakers during the main event in April.

This year’s TEDxVU theme, The Cycle, explores how rhythms, patterns and evolving loops shape the world around us. In a time of rapid innovation and growing uncertainty, it invites us to reflect on how change really unfolds: gradually, repeatedly, and often only visible in hindsight. Amsterdam offers a living example of this idea. Its bicycles, canals and seasons reflect a balance between movement and equilibrium. This balance is what allows a centuries-old city to keep reinventing itself as a hub for research, technological innovation, sustainability and global collaboration.

If you have a perspective that can inspire, provoke or reimagine how we understand the cycles that define our world, we want to hear it.
