Aureus International Day – August 30th, 2017

Are you an international student and did you just arrive in the Netherlands? Let’s get to know the country, including all its weird habits, typical foods and funny looking clothes!

Aureus is taking you out on the tour of your life to Volendam. Together, we will travel to this typical Dutch city where you will get to know your fellow international students while exploring Dutch traditions. You will be divided into teams of 8 – 10 people and you will battle each other for the title of the ‘Echte Hollander’ (real Dutch person). After the activities in Volendam, we invite you to a drink in the Aureus rooms for one of the most exciting traditions of all: Heineken. During the drink, we will also announce the winning team.

The day will cost €5,- and this will include the bus ride, all of the activities, and an open bar during the drink.

Planning of the day
13:15 – 13:30 gathering at the Aureus room (VU main building – 8A34)
13:30 – 14:00 traveling by touring bus to Volendam
14:00 – 16:30 typical Dutch activities in Volendam
16:30 – 17:00 traveling back to Amsterdam
17:00 – 18:00 drinks at the Aureus room (and announcement of the winning team)
