Fjord Design

Fjord is a design and innovation consultancy, acquired by Accenture Interactive in 2013. We create useful, effective, and desirable digital services that people love. We make complex systems simple and elegant with the power of design: we combine design, strategy, and development to achieve innovation. See here what we do. Fjord has been pioneering design and innovation since we opened our doors in 2001. Fjord is human-centered, with an eye on disrupting whole industries. We help our clients, which are world’s leading businesses, to answer critical questions around customer relevancy, loyalty, and delight to conceive, design, and deliver innovative service strategies. One of our recent projects was for instance “democratising banking in an informative and fun way”: The task was simple: design a new digital hub which would present dry banking topics in an exciting and motivating way and help gain customers in the process. As we got to know the users and understand its philosophy, we helped developed a more ambitious vision. Natalja Laurey writes a book on Fjord and is particularly interested in the challenges that for instance the acquisition by Accenture poses on Fjord’s employees and their ways of working. During an interactive session she will work with you on a number of Fjord’s burning questions. Currently, Fjord employs a diverse group of over 400 design experts in fifteen global creative hubs including Atlanta, Berlin, Chicago, Helsinki, Istanbul, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, New York, Paris, San Francisco, São Paulo, Stockholm, and Sydney.
