About Youp:
Hey, I am Youp Hafkamp and I am 20 years old (youngboy, I know). I am the Digital Systems Officer of the 73rd board of Aureus. In my spare time you will definitely see me on a soccer field, gym or with friends on the Leidseplein. Whilst growing up and living in Uithoorn, I decided to join Aureus in the 2nd year of my Bachelor Business Administration. Because my first year went quite well, I wanted to do something next to my study, and meet a lot of new people. These expectations have been fully met, as I gained a lot of new friends (and still going strong) and boosted my CV.
My Aureus career started in the Marketing committee, supporting all marketing related processes in the association. In this year I laid the foundation for my interest in online marketing, which I eventually pursued further during my studies and side job. In my third year of my bachelor’s degree, the plan was to go to an Exchange to the University of Massachusetts in the United States. Unfortunately, our great Covid-19 did not let me go. Nevertheless, I decided to extend my Aureus career by joining the VUSE committee. We organized a great festival week in June where we could meet everyone again after 1,5 year of not partying together.
This board year is the perfect opportunity for me to extend my study life with a year, whilst gaining a lot of practical experience by leading one of the biggest study associations on a daily basis. As the digital systems officer of Aureus, I am responsible for maintaining and improving the IT systems. Furthermore, I supervise the Sports committee, Aureus Academy, Master Introduction Weekend and a Masterclub.
