About Lize:
This year I have finished my bachelor’s Business Administration after I did my minor in Risk Management in Financial Institutions. As I have always been involved in Aureus and have a lot of great memories about my first three years at the university, I decided to apply for a board year. Hopefully this year will be ‘back to normal’ again. This way other students can get the same amazing experience as I have had during my bachelor study with Aureus.
The first time I got in touch with Aureus was during the introduction week in 2018. During this week I got in touch with a lot of my friends, even Philine and Bob with whom I am doing a board year together now. I was convinced to join a committee at Aureus. Turned out I was admitted and I started in the committee Bachelor Club Business Administration, which was my first choice. Joining the Bachelor Club was the perfect opportunity for me to get to know the whole association, as well as my fellow students.
In my second year, I was controller of the commercial team. This was really challenging for me but I have learned a lot about doing acquisition and, for example, creating contracts. The highlight of this year was definitely the Zuidas Tour, luckily this could still take place offline.
In my third year, I was the chairwoman of the internal events committee. Because of COVID-19 we had to be creative in organizing our activities. It was really nice to brainstorm about these other opportunities with my committee.
Being in the 73rd board of Aureus is the perfect end to my Aureus Journey and will be a very challenging year. However, I am sure we will make a year nobody will forget and I am looking forward to every single moment of it.
