Hey everyone!
In the coming year, I will be the Commercial Officer of the 76th board of Aureus, and I’m looking forward to this challenge! As Commercial Officer, I am responsible for building and developing our relationships with our partners and stakeholders. Besides, I’m in charge of the acquisition of all committees and I coordinate the Amsterdam Career Days, Aureus Business Week and the Commercial Team. I am also involved in this year’s National Consultancy Competition.
In 2020, after graduating from high school, I started studying Economics and Business Economics at the Vrije Universiteit. Halfway through the first year of my bachelor’s degree, I left my hometown Wilnis and I moved to the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
Recently, I completed a ⅛ triathlon, which introduced me to the challenge of brick training—workouts that combine two disciplines, typically swim-to-bike or bike-to-run. The triathlon also sparked my enthusiasm for cycling. Additionally, I love playing padel, taking ice baths, and dancing to groovy house hits.
After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I traveled through Asia and Australia. This trip was unforgettable! I broadened my horizons and it helped me grow personally. When I returned, I wanted to find new ways to develop my skills before starting my master’s program. Talking to past board members, being an active committee member, the amazing trips with Aureus and attending the Amsterdam Career Days convinced me to apply for the board. The role excites me because it allows me to leverage my strengths in building partnerships, expanding my network and coordinating major events.
