Hi everyone,

My name is Mika, and for the coming year, I will be your Digital Systems & Innovation officer as part of the 76th board of Aureus. I completed both my Bachelor’s in International Business Administration and Master’s in Marketing at the VU. During my studies, I also did an exchange semester in the UK, where I met many people from across the world and learned that I love meeting people from different cultures with various perspectives and ideas. A bit more about me: I love cooking and could spend hours in the kitchen making food for friends, I enjoy going to the gym, and I love exploring new places and sights.

As DSO & Innovation officer, I am managing our website and different digital systems, as well as working on the long-term vision of the association by analyzing what we can improve, working with our survey data, handling ad-hoc projects, and shaping both our general and functional policy. Moreover, I will be supervising the Wintersport, Sports, TedX, and Master Introduction committees.

My first contact with Aureus was during my introduction week. Everything was so big and new to me, coming from a small town, but now, having lived in Amsterdam for two years, I have grown to love the city. As a committee member, I was part of the Masterclub for DBI and Marketing. The reason I decided to join was because of how much fun I had at the Master Weekend. At Master Weekend, I met some of my best friends, and I highly recommend anyone join the weekends, trips, etc., as these are some of the greatest social events to bond with your fellow students. I hope our board year can provide others with the same opportunities to develop themselves and get to know people as I had, and therefore, I am very excited for this year!
