Hi everyone,
My name is Julian Lankhaar and I am the Controller of the 77th board of Aureus. I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in Alkmaar. I started my time at the VU during the Covid period, so I haven’t visited the VU often during my first two years of study. I finished the bachelor Business Administration and the master Financial Management. During my bachelor I went on exchange to Prague, which was an amazing experience and I met some great people from all over the world there!
This will be my first time to be part of Aureus as I have not done any committee work during my bachelor and master. Due to the Covid pandemic and the fact that I live in Alkmaar I was not very aware of all the cool opportunities Aureus offers and all the nice people involved in the association. However, at the start of my master this year I joined the master introduction day and the master weekend, which I really enjoyed and where I met a lot of nice people. Further I also joined a lot of open drinks this year and I went on EST. As I just finished my master, joining the board this coming year will be the perfect opportunity for me to get involved even more into the association and to grow as a person.
In my spare time I really enjoy watching football, I am a season ticket holder of AZ. Further, I like going for drinks with friends and I like to travel.
