Hey everyone!
My name is Dennis and in the coming year I will take on the role of Commercial Officer and Vice-Chairman of the 78th Board of Aureus. I am really excited to take on this role!
Within my role as Commercial Officer, I mainly focus on the relationships and collaborations between Aureus and its partners. From bringing new companies on board to maintaining existing partnerships, I create connections that are valuable for both students and our partners. I will also oversee major events such as the Amsterdam Career Days and the Aureus Business Week, as well as the Commercial Team and a Masterclub. Besides, I am also in charge of the acquisition of all committees.
As Vice-Chairman, I will work closely with the Chairman and the rest of the Board on the broader direction of Aureus. This means being involved in strategic decisions and supporting the Board whenever needed, with the aim of making Aureus an even more valuable and accessible association for its members.
I started my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2023. During my studies, I have been an active member of Aureus for three years. In my first year, I did not join a committee, which was a missed opportunity. In my second year, I joined the rowing association A.S.R. Nereus, which gave me a lot of great memories and experiences outside of my studies. In my third year, I decided to join the VUSE Committee. I was responsible for the acquisition of one of Aureus’ biggest parties. Being part of this committee made me enjoy Aureus so much that I decided to go for a Board year.
In my free time, I like to stay active by going to the gym and running. I also enjoy having drinks with friends and my housemates, and whenever I find the time, I like to get behind the DJ booth.
I’m really looking forward to the year ahead and everything that comes with it. I’m excited to meet new people, take on new challenges and, most importantly, make a lot of great memories along the way.
