Aureus Lustrum Day

Come and celebrate the 14th lustrum of Study Association Aureus at our special Lustrum Day at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The Lustrum Day is open to all VU students and totally FREE!

On Thursday, 25th of April, we will organize various activities at the VU, which will be a once in a lifetime experience. We will reveal all the activities one by one.

[ps2id id='VU-tour'/]ACTIVITY ONE • VU Tour

During the VU Tour, two ex-employees of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam will show you the most impressive, unseen spots at the VU. The spots will vary in the different tours, but you will visit places such as, the tunnels underneath the VU campus, the fire garage, the energy centre in the Transitorium and last but definitely not least, the Helideck of the VUmc. This is a once in a lifetime experience to really explore the university where you’re studying!

• Tour 1: 9.30 – 10.30 • Tour 2: 11.00 – 12.00 • Tour 3: 12.30 – 13.30

[ps2id id='smoothie'/]ACTIVITY TWO • Smoothie Bikes

In the Main Hall of the VU you will find two smoothie bikes, where you can make your own smoothie to kick start the Lustrum Day! The smoothie bike is initiated by a student in 2015 and was made to promote healthy eating and exercising. There is no need for you to sign up beforehand, just come to the Main Hall and enjoy your self-made organic smoothie! And… it’s totally free if you like our Instagram or Facebook Page!

The smoothie bikes will be available on 25 April from 10.00 till 13.00!

[ps2id id='lasertag'/]ACTIVITY THREE • Laser Tag

At the Campus Square you will find a Laser Tag Arena. You will enter a 100 square meters arena, with music, lights, and smoke effects. This is the perfect opportunity to battle against your study friends. If you want to participate, make sure to be there on time since there is limited capacity available in the Laser Tag Arena.

You will be able to enjoy the Laser Tag Arena on 25 April from 11.00 till 13.00!

[ps2id id='disco'/]ACTIVITY FOUR • Silent Disco

We will end the Lustrum Day with an unique initiative in collaboration with the Universiteits Bibliotheek, the Silent Disco. You will be enjoying the best music thank to our massive line-up. Come and join us between 13:00 - 17:00 on 25 April at the UB on the 2nd floor.

Super Freak Soundsystem

We present you, SuperFreak Soundsystem! Allthough their hearts are filled with disco, funk and house, these eclectic DJ's are well prepared to deliver you the sound you need. Reigning the Amsterdam clubscene for one consecutive year with their own event SuperFreak, they have rocked dancefloors ranging from Paradiso, Chicago Social Club and Club Up, to places outside their magical hometown nationwide. Bring it back, baby!

Benaiah

Having traveled all over the country to perform, Benaiah is certainly a DJ to keep an eye out for! At university, he started to perform as a DJ and showcased his unique sound to his classmates. Fast forward to the present, and Benaiah is performing at major clubs and festivals in the Netherlands and can be found every weekend in clubs and venues in cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and where he currently resides, Utrecht. Benaiah is ready to win your attention at the Silent Disco! Now the only question is: ARE YOU?

Jaycey

Jaycey started playing at parties when he was 11 years old. In the meantime, he has exchanged small private parties for festivals and hot club nights! With a mix of urban, latin and deep house, he creates a good vibe. At VUSE, our lustrum party beginning of this year, Jaycey kicked off the party!
