Amber Politiek• Chairwoman

Hi everyone!

My name is Amber Politiek and I am happy to introduce myself as the Chairwoman of the 76th board of Aureus. I am 23 years old and studying Business Administration with a specialization in Accountancy. In my spare time I like to practice some sports. I recently started running again but I also enjoy playing hockey or taking various classes through Classpass. Next to that, I love to meet up with my friends and family  and go for drinks or enjoy a nice trip!

During the first year of my studies, I became a committee member at Aureus. I joined the marketing team, where we supported other committees with their marketing and promotion planning. During this year, I also met many of my current friends and attended fun events, with the highlight being the European Study Trip to Budapest. 

In my second year at Aureus, I wanted to do a committee which was more career related, so I became the Chair of the Aureus Business Week. This was a very fun and educational experience to organize. Afterward, I was looking for a new challenge and decided to apply for the Amsterdam Career Days committee. In this committee I was the Head of Acquisition and Treasurer. This was a major highlight for me. With our team, we organized a fantastic event that I am very proud of. 

I was considering a board year already but after the ACD, I knew it for sure that this was what I wanted to do! I was very happy when I received the call that I had been selected and would take on the position of Chairwoman. I am really looking forward to all the fun moments and valuable experiences I will gain in this role.
