Sign up now for the Aureus introduction week! During this week you will get in touch with your fellow students who will become your new friends for the rest of your study. Through lots of parties and fun activities spread across the entire city, you’ll get to know Amsterdam and Aureus. What does Aureus offer you during this week next to all the VU activities?
Wednesday 23rd of August:
After a long day at the VU we offer you some drinks at a pub in the financial district of Amsterdam ‘The Zuidas’. At this place you’ll see all the other groups that will study a long with you, together with these people you can prepare yourself for a long and exciting night at the Leidseplein. This is the place to be in Amsterdam during the night.
Thursday 24th of August:
The VU provides a day in Amsterdam but they didn’t include dinner. We did! Another perfect moment to see your fellow students and exchange all stories of the night before! After this dinner the VU arranged a comedy night, so the night is not over!

Aureus Introduction weekend | Friday 25th of August – Sunday 27th of August :
The Aureus introduction weekend! One of the best weekends of your life! On Friday we’ll leave with 130 people of your study association towards a secret location. This means the spots are limited! We have taken care of everything this weekend, so the only thing you have to do is meeting other people and enjoy the food, activities and parties. The VU didn’t plan anything else so you won’t miss out other things is Amsterdam.
We can give you some small reasons to join the weekend:
- Dinner with unlimited fries and snacks
- Not one but two awesome (theme) parties
- Meeting lots of new people and making friends for your whole study period
If you add all of this up, it’s a great addition to your introduction week. After the weekend, but also during the first weeks of university, you really notice that you already know a lot of people, which is a huge advantage in a new environment. Do you want to join us for the introduction weekend?
Monday 28th of August:
CLUB NIGHT!
During the day the Faculty organised some mandatory lectures and interesting workshops. To end this educative day, we have our famous Aureus Club Night! In Club Up there is a party with some good DJ’s and even a famous Dutch artist.
Tuesday 29th of August:
The last day 🙁 To finish our fun week together it’s time for some competition. The groups will battle against each other on the Zuidas by completing fun exercises. Make sure to win we have a price for you!

Please note that the Aureus Weekend is a seperate activity which brings in additional costs. If you want to join us for the weekend you have to indicate that within your application form.
