Become an ARP Consultant
Are you looking for an opportunity to gain international consulting experience, work with
real companies, and challenge yourself in a multicultural environment? As an ARP
consultant, you will join a selected team of ambitious SBE Master’s students and work on a
real-life business challenge for an international company.
During the project, you will combine academic knowledge with practical consulting
experience. Together with your team, you will conduct market research, develop strategic
recommendations, and present your findings in a professional consultancy report. This
process is supported by experienced VU professors and professional training sessions to
help you develop your consulting skills.
Previous ARP projects have resulted in over 100 consultancy projects in more than 15
countries. In 2027, ARP will take you to Brazil, where you will conduct five weeks of
field research and experience working in an international environment.
What do you gain as an ARP consultant?
As an ARP consultant, you will:
- Earn 6 ECTS (for selected Master’s programs)
- Gain hands-on international consulting experience

The role of an ARP consultant
Throughout the project, you will:
- Conduct desk research and prepare for the international field research
- Translate research findings into practical recommendations
- Collaborate with your team on a consultancy assignment
- Contact and communicate with companies and stakeholders
- Collect and analyze market insights abroad
Requirements
To apply as an ARP consultant, you:
- Are an SBE Master’s student at the VU during the academic year 2026-2027
- Are available for approximately 8-12 hours per week
- Are a member of Aureus
- Are comfortable reaching out to companies
- Can work independently and within a team
- Are stress-resistant and able to keep an overview
- Are available for the kick-off and the introduction weekend
- Most importantly: are enthusiastic, ambitious, and ready for an adventure!
