Our team – Do great minds always think alike?

Within the CFO-Consulting department, we work for the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) agenda of (international) clients in both the financial and non-financial sectors. We jointly advise CFOs and Finance Leadership Teams and support them in various issues and challenges that are important to them. We specialize in transforming the Finance function and helping CFOs redefine and transform the Finance function into a future-proof organization. This includes developing the Finance strategy, organizational design, process improvement, and deploying the latest technologies.

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

  • Set up (digital) strategies for the finance and CFO function.
  • Support in developing competences and insights to support the CFO in steering strategy and enable long-term value creating.
  • Quickly adapt to emerging challenges (e.g. Sustainability/ESG) on the CFO agenda and see opportunities to drive these.
  • Support in the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) frameworks, dashboarding and Financial Planning & Analysis tools.
  • Help finance supporting in becoming more data-driven and work together with our data & analytics team as an accelerator.
  • Be part of finance transformation programs, whether it is for specific topics or for the life-time of the complete transformation.
  • Execute process optimizations for financial, business control and other key processes.
  • Work together with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strategy for the application and implementation of new and emerging technologies to foster operational excellence and help finance to improve in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Strong ability working together and support the client and your EY colleagues in becoming better and successful.

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • A university master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or Econometrics and a (almost finalized or ambition to continue with) RA / RC qualification.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the finance domain.
  • Work experience with a network at and with financial institutions.
  • Affinity for technological challenges at financial institutions.
  • Experience in both sales and delivery of consultancy assignments.

  • Salary: in addition to your fixed salary, depending on EY’s financial performance, you may be eligible for a bonus. You are also entitled to an expense allowance (depending on the position) and an internet allowance of €40 net per month
  • Flexible working: you decide where and when you work in consultation with your team. At home, at the office, at the client’s location, or from another European country (up to 20 working days per year)
