Stop what you are doing, and realise it is almost that time of the year where you get to run a little and party a lot. For those who do not know which event we are talking about, we are talking about the legendary batavierenrace.
So what is Batavierenrace
With over 10.000 students the Batavierenrace is the biggest relay competition in the world. The 46th edition of the Batavierenrace is right around the corner. In the 3rd week of April our Aurelian army will travel to Nijmegen to send off our first runner in the relay. As a picture is worth a thousand words, click the button below for a sneak video peak for what’s the BATA all about.
The relay will be run by a team of 25 runners that will be split up in three teams: morning runners, mid-day runners and evening runners. The army will be separated throughout the race, motivating each other to run their fastest possible times, after which everyone gets together on Saturday for the biggest student party of the Benelux on the unversity grounds of Enschede.
So what is the best part about Batavierenrace
The insane party! We’ll arrive on Friday night where we’ll set up camp amongst all the other teams. Whilst the night shift will start running the rest of us will get shit going, we’re divided in 3 different shifts of which the last (will hopefully) finish the race Saturday afternoon, after which we’ll show Enschede how it’s done Aureus style.
• We’ll sleep in cozy tents, which your need to bring yourself
• Join us and bring friends along for only €32,50 per person!
• Date of the event: 20-22 April
• We will arrange food and drinks on Friday Saturday and Sunday
